Slover, Taylor

Title: Upper School Mathematics Teacher

Bio: Attended: California State University, Fresno Degrees: B.S. Mathematics; M.B.A. Before joining the Providence faculty as Upper School math teacher in 2022, Taylor Slover was a professional volleyball player in Finland, Switzerland, and Germany. Off seasons, she has been substitute teaching in local school districts since 2018. If that weren’t enough, she has also been working in financial planning with the Money Concepts organization. Taylor has thought about teaching full time for a long time and is very excited that she is finally going to be able to “do math all day every day and to speak about Jesus in a school setting.” She chose Providence specifically because she believes in the mission, the way education is delivered, and the opportunities for mentoring and discipling students. A true numbers person, she looks forward to seeing the kindergartners dressed as 100-year-old people on the 100th day of school.
