Title: Performing Arts

Bio: Joined Providence in 2021 A lifelong performer, Austin Escamilla has spent many years working in the Santa Barbara theater world. He has founded theater companies, and run dozens of musicals, taught all ages in a variety of contexts. He has a passion for improvisation and sketch comedy, as well as acting for the stage and camera. He mostly recently taught theater arts for more than 700 students in the Peabody Charter School—over Zoom! Mr. Escamilla is beyond excited to share his passion for all things theatrical with Providence Middle School and Upper School students. He is inspired by the talent and creativity he finds in Providence students and looks forward to helping build a top-notch performing arts program. His favorite Providence tradition thus far is the weekly chapel service.
