Rooftop Reception for 5th & 6th Grade Parents

Middle school can be rough. Kids undergo a lot of rapid change between the ages of 11 and 14–physical, emotional, social, and spiritual changes that can ebb and flow daily. We, as parents and educators, need to partner together to meet the unique developmental needs of early adolescents.

Topics include:

  • It’s Not You, It’s Them—An overview of the physical, cognitive, spiritual, and psychological changes that are a normal (but mysterious) part of adolescence
  • It Takes a Village—Helping parents understand the value of encouraging involvement, recruiting mentors, and embracing the changes of Middle School life

  • You Can’t Hide—Why being part of a community like Providence is an invaluable gift during the Middle School years

Hosted by Rodney Meadth (Providence Middle and Upper School Principal) and Susan Isaac (Providence Middle and Upper School Assistant Principal), this rooftop reception gives you the opportunity to learn about what to expect in this next season, as well as to connect with other parents who are navigating the same season.

The event is finished.
