PARENT ASSOCIATION | VOLUNTEERING

WELCOME!

The Providence Parent Association welcomes all parents of current students from Preschool through Upper School to enjoy community, service, and prayer together. We have a unique opportunity at Providence to enjoy friendships with one another and help our children’s school at the same time. We meet in two groups:  one for Preschool through Lower School (PS–6) and another for Middle School through Upper School (7–12).

MISSION

The mission of the Providence Parent Association is to involve Providence families in school events and activities which promote community building, enhance communication between families and Providence staff, and give logistical support to specific school needs. Furthermore, the Parent Association supports all aspects of Providence in prayer.

VISION

Our vision is for deepened relationships within the Providence community and for the school mission to be tangibly enriched by parent involvement and partnership.

GET INVOLVED!

1. Attend a monthly Parent Association meeting

Preschool | Lower School
  • Parent Prayer – 8:30 am every Friday at the San Roque campus flagpole
  • Parent Association Meeting – 8:45 am the first Friday of the month in the San Roque campus art courtyard
Middle School | Upper School
  • Parents meet throughout the year for social opportunities, educational luncheons, and other activities. Watch the Providence Pulse all-school newsletter for notices about these events and other ways to be involved.

2. Sign up to help out

Opportunities include providing snacks and meals for faculty, campus decoration and cleanup, organizing school life and fundraising events, serving student meals, advising administrators, participating in focus groups and surveys, and creating opportunities for families and students to enjoy recreational and social time together.

Preschool families are expected to contribute 10 hours of volunteer service per year and Lower School families are expected to contribute 20 hours. There is no determined number of hours for Middle School and Upper School volunteer service by parents, but many opportunities abound and are vital to creating a vibrant community.

3. Read the weekly newsletter

The Providence Pulse is emailed to all school families every Monday afternoon when school is in session. Make a habit of reading it for all the news and announcements that bring our community together.
