LOWER SCHOOL LEAD TEACHER
Providence School seeks qualified full-time teachers for lower elementary classes for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. Ideal candidates will be positive, enthusiastic, possess a “can-do” spirit, and embody an authentic love of Christ. Job responsibilities include planning and implementing curriculum, monitoring and recording student progress in a self-contained classroom, and instilling the values and character traits that contribute to student development. The elementary-school teacher must be passionate about the age group and about fostering strong relationships with Providence families.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree, a valid teaching credential, and solid experience with curriculum implementation and classroom management. Additional desired skills include:
- Co-curricular interests and giftings
- Computer literacy (Zoom, FACTS, ParentSquare, Google cloud-based systems)
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Flexibility
- A calm demeanor in the face of conflict
- Expert verbal and written communication with parents
- The ability to serve as a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions

LOWER SCHOOL MUSIC TEACHER
Nurture young musicians and inspire students to glorify God through music
Providence School is seeking a joyful and engaging Lower School Music Teacher to lead our kindergarten through 6th grade students in developing a love for music.
In this role, you will:
- Teach an engaging, age-appropriate music curriculum, covering rhythm and movement, vocal performance, music appreciation, and basic instrumental training (our current approach is rooted in—but not limited to—the Orff method).
- Organize and direct beloved school performances, including the Veterans Day Assembly, Christmas Program, and Spring Concert, where every Lower School student shines on stage.
- Foster a classroom environment where students grow in musical ability while learning to glorify God through song.
- Partner with families and fellow educators to create a warm, collaborative learning experience.

LOWER SCHOOL ASSISTANT TEACHER
Assistant teachers will assist Lower School classroom teachers with instructional activities, individual and small group instruction, preparing materials, and supervising the lunchtime and playground routines. The ideal candidate will be positive, enthusiastic, experienced in working with children, and be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. She or he will possess knowledge of child development and a commitment to biblically-centered education.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma. A bachelor’s degree and teaching credential are preferred. Applicants must also be in agreement with and sign the Providence Statement of Faith.
Providence offers an hourly rate between $20.00–$28.00 and a tuition discount for those working 20 hours per week or more.

EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM ASSISTANT
Under the direction of the Extended-Day Program Director, assists with ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade during after school hours until 5:00pm. Ideal candidates will love working with elementary aged children and be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others.
Primary duties include the oversight of after-school activities and physical play and ensure all students receive a nutritious after-school snack.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and CPR/First Aid certification. Additional qualifications include 1+ years of experience working with children in a school setting or related environment, a commitment to helping children explore the world, develop interpersonal skills, and support their spiritual growth.
Providence offers a rate of $18-20/hour for this position.
