OPEN POSITIONS

Preschool Teacher: Lead & Assistant

Providence seeks preschool teachers who will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally-appropriate classroom and outdoor preschool experience, aligned with Providence’s commitment to incorporate Christian values in the learning process. The teacher will establish routines, provide positive guidance, and facilitate creative learning activities to meet the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of young children (2.5–5 years old). The teacher will work within a teaching team and must practice good communication skills and flexibility in the classroom environment.

Lead teacher candidates will have at least 12 units in early childhood education from an accredited college. A minimum of 6 units is required for assistant teachers. Ideal candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills with students, their parents, and members of the community. Individuals with 3 units and ongoing enrollment in ECE are welcome to inquire about employment possibilities as well.

LOWER SCHOOL KINDERGARTEN LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE

Providence School is seeking a qualified full-time kindergarten teacher for lower elementary classes for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year beginning in January. Ideal candidates will be positive, enthusiastic, possess a “can-do” spirit, and embody an authentic love of Christ. Job responsibilities include planning and implementing curriculum, monitoring and recording student progress in a self-contained classroom, and instilling the values and character traits that contribute to student development. The elementary-school teacher must be passionate about the age group and about fostering strong relationships with Providence families.

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree, a valid teaching credential (or in processes thereof), and have solid experience with curriculum implementation and classroom management. Additional desired skills include co-curricular interests and giftings, computer literacy, strong organizational and time-management abilities, flexibility, a calm demeanor in the face of conflict, expert verbal and written communication with parents, and the ability to serve as a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions. Applicants must also be in agreement with and sign the Providence Statement of Faith.

For the employment range of January 6-June 13, 2025, Providence offers a salary between $20500 – $24000 and a generous benefits package, including a tuition discount for the children of those working 20 hours per week or more.

EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Under the direction of the Extended-Day Program Director, assists with ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade during after school hours until 5:00pm. Ideal candidates will love working with elementary aged children and be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee children participating in after-school study activities or physical play, ensuring their safety and engagement.
  2. Implement a structured program from 2:30 pm to 5:00 daily. Program includes playtime, structured quiet homework time, snack breaks, and various free play or structured activities.
  3. Ensures all students receive a nutritious after school snack.
  4. Works with students doing special activities throughout the school year, such as sports clinics or skill classes. 
  5. Follows established school policies in dealing with conflict involving students, parents, staff or administration.
  6. Works with Lower School Principal to communicate concerns with parents as appropriate.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  1. Checks inventory and purchases EDP snacks from the store on a bi-weekly basis or as needed by using the school credit card. 
  2. Ensures that the playground and driveway areas are cleared and organized for the next school day.


Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and CPR/First Aid certification. Additional qualifications include 1+ years of experience working with children in a school setting or related environment, a commitment to helping children explore the world, develop interpersonal skills, and support their spiritual growth.

Providence offers a rate of $18-$20/hour for this position.

ANNUAL FUND COORDINATOR

The Annual Fund Coordinator manages the Providence Annual Fund and mid-major gift prospects, from cultivation to solicitation and stewardship.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Write appeals, gift acknowledgements, annual tax statements 
  • Oversee gift entry & list management/FACTs
  • Manage fundraising events/efforts: Auctions, HOS dinners, Giving Tuesday, Grandparents Day(s)  
  • Manage donor lists and communications in LGL & MailChimp
  • Partner with division leads to ensure execution of funded programs & projects
  • Focus on developing current family giving
  • Support all advancement/development activities as needed
  • Produce development publications in partnership with Marketing & Communications.

Salary range $50-70k.
