OPEN POSITIONS

Preschool Teacher: Lead & Assistant

Providence seeks preschool teachers who will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally-appropriate classroom and outdoor preschool experience, aligned with Providence’s commitment to incorporate Christian values in the learning process. The teacher will establish routines, provide positive guidance, and facilitate creative learning activities to meet the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of young children (2.5–5 years old). The teacher will work within a teaching team and must practice good communication skills and flexibility in the classroom environment.

Lead teacher candidates will have at least 12 units in early childhood education from an accredited college. A minimum of 6 units is required for assistant teachers. Ideal candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills with students, their parents, and members of the community. Individuals with 3 units and ongoing enrollment in ECE are welcome to inquire about employment possibilities as well.

LOWER SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER

Nurture young scientists and inspire students to glorify God through the wonder of His creation

Providence School is seeking a joyful and engaging Lower School Science Teacher to lead our kindergarten through 6th grade students in developing a love for scientific discovery.

In this role, you will:
  • Teach an engaging, age-appropriate science curriculum, covering foundational concepts in life, physical, and earth sciences through hands-on experimentation, observation, and inquiry-based learning.
  • Foster a classroom environment where students grow in critical thinking and analytical ability while learning to glorify God by exploring the order and beauty of the natural world.
  • Partner with families and fellow educators to create a warm, collaborative, and curiosity-driven learning experience.
The right candidate will:
  • Have experience and/or training in science education or a related STEM field at the elementary level.

LOWER SCHOOL LEAD TEACHERS

Providence School seeks qualified full-time teachers for lower elementary classes for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. Ideal candidates will be positive, enthusiastic, possess a “can-do” spirit, and embody an authentic love of Christ. Job responsibilities include planning and implementing curriculum, monitoring and recording student progress in a self-contained classroom, and instilling the values and character traits that contribute to student development. The elementary-school teacher must be passionate about the age group and about fostering strong relationships with Providence families.

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree, a valid teaching credential, and solid experience with curriculum implementation and classroom management. Additional desired skills include co-curricular interests and giftings, computer literacy (Zoom, RenWeb student data management, Google cloud-based systems), strong organizational and time-management abilities, flexibility, a calm demeanor in the face of conflict, expert verbal and written communication with parents, and the ability to serve as a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions. Applicants must also be in agreement with and sign the Providence Statement of Faith.

MIDDLE & UPPER SCHOOL BIBLE TEACHER

Providence School seeks a qualified full-time teacher for Bible (Grades 7-12) classes for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate proficiency with:

  • Curriculum Design: Proven track record of building scaffolded Bible units that align with institutional doctrinal statements while remaining engaging and age-appropriate.

  • Differentiated Instruction: Ability to reach students at various stages of spiritual maturity, from those seeking foundational truths to those ready for deeper theological discussion.

  • Mentorship & Discipleship: Experience leading small groups, chapel services, and providing pastoral mentorship to secondary students navigating complex teenage years.
