Joined Providence in 2014
Matt Knoles has been Lower School principal since 2016. He joined the Providence administration as assistant head of Lower School in 2014. Previously, he gained ten years experience in the elementary classroom, teaching in Santa Barbara, Goleta, and Ventura.
He and his wife, Krista, have three children; their youngest is a Providence student.
Mr. Knoles has many favorite Providence traditions: the 100th-day of school (when he dresses as a 100-year-old man), the Lower School retreat, the end-of-the-year car parade, and the weekly chapels are at the top of his list!
