Prior to joining Providence full time, Evan was on staff with FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) for two years.
Coach Covell is wholeheartedly committed to the power of athletics to build character and instill strong Christian values in athletes and coaches. “The coach-athlete relationship is truly important as coaches have an incredible influence on the maturing process of student-athletes,” he says. “And the student-athletes have a tremendous ability to serve their teams and coaches as they all strive towards a common goal.”
His favorite Providence traditions are the Homecoming basketball games.
