Joined Providence in 2021
Crystal Guzman taught in Mongolia with the Peace Crops for two years and was awarded Arkhangai’s 2019 Honored Teacher of the Year Award. She returned to the United States to teach English as foreign language (TEFL) to international students at ELC in Santa Barbara, where she also mentored incoming, prospective TEFL teachers.
Crystal then moved east to teach third and fourth grades at Edified Christian Academy in Marlboro, MD, where she fell in love with providing students with a strong Christian education. She is happy to be back in Santa Barbara and on the faculty at Providence School.
Her younger sister is a member of the Providence Class of 2025.
Her favorite Providence tradition thus far is the 4th–6th grade retreat. She enjoys doing the ropes course and zip lining with her students!
