Mrs. Smelley started teaching at Santa Barbara Christian School in 1987 and Â as of 2021, has taught for 18 years. Teaching Middle School math combines three of her favorites: middle school students, algebra, and Providence! She also enjoys participating as an assistant coach for the varsity girls tennis team. Outside of her classroom teaching, she gives piano lessons.
One of her favorite Providence traditions is the weekly chapel. “Chapel is a special time to come together with students and faculty to worship God with our voices and learn together how we can grow in our relationship with Jesus and better love our community,” she says.
