Joined Providence in 2019
Prior to joining the Providence faculty, Alba Romero taught in the mathematics department at Bakersfield College for four years and for one year at Wonderful College Prep Academy. She was a teaching associate and statistics lab instructor at CSU-Channel Islands for three years, while completing her master’s degree. Upon graduating, Ms. Romero completed an internship at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. She is a member of the California Mathematics Council and the Association for Women in Mathematics.
Her favorite Providence tradition is taking Providence students to the annual mathematics competition at Westmont College.
