PRESCHOOL

PRESCHOOL TEACHER – Immediate and Fall 2022

Providence seeks preschool teachers who will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally-appropriate classroom and outdoor preschool experience, aligned with Providence’s commitment to incorporate Christian values in the learning process. The teacher will establish routines, provide positive guidance, and facilitate creative learning activities to meet the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of young children (2.5–5 years old).

Lead teacher candidates will have at least 12 units in early childhood education from an accredited college. A minimum of 6 units is required for assistant teachers. Ideal candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills with students, their parents, and members of the community.

LOWER SCHOOL

 LOWER SCHOOL CLASSROOM & ASSISTANT TEACHERS (Full- & Part-time)

Providence School seeks qualified full-time and part-time teachers and assistant teachers for elementary classes for the upcoming 2022–2023 school year. Ideal candidates will be positive, enthusiastic, possess a “can-do” spirit, and embody an authentic love of Christ. Job responsibilities include planning and implementing curriculum, monitoring and recording student progress in a self-contained classroom, and instilling the values and character traits that contribute to student development. The elementary-school teacher must be passionate about the age group and about fostering strong relationships with Providence families.

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree, a valid teaching credential, and solid experience with curriculum implementation and classroom management. Additional desired skills include co-curricular interests and giftings, computer literacy (Zoom, Google cloud-based systems), strong organizational and time-management abilities, flexibility, a calm demeanor in the face of conflict, expert verbal and written communication with parents, and the ability to serve as a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions.

LOWER SCHOOL PE TEACHER (Full-time)

Providence School seeks a qualified physical education teacher for the kindergarten through sixth grade PE program. Primary responsibilities include leading children to develop a lifestyle of physical fitness, teaching basic health and wellness, and supervising students during portions of the school day. Secondary responsibilities include assisting the athletic director with operational elements of a Lower School athletics program and supporting the principal of the Lower School as needed. The qualified candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree; a PE teaching credential is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to physical fitness, be a Christian role model, and possess and utilize excellent communication skills with students, parents, and members of the community.

LOWER SCHOOL EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM COORDINATOR (Part-time)

Providence School seeks an Extended Day Program Coordinator for the 2022-2023 school year.  The EDP Director is responsible for overseeing an after-school program to ensure a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for students in kindergarten through sixth grade.  Hours are 2:45 pm–5:15 pm, Monday-Friday.  Interested candidates must possess a love of Christ, strong organizational and people skills, a desire to create meaningful learning activities for a variety of elementary ages, and experience working with elementary students.

Providence School seeks a qualified part-time office assistant for the SanRoque campus for the upcoming 2022–2023 school year. Ideal candidates will be positive, enthusiastic, possess a “can-do” spirit, and embody an authentic love of Christ. Job responsibilities include supporting campus office manager and administrators, answering phones and general receptionist duties, and other duties as assigned. The office assistant should enjoy children, supporting families, helping others, and keeping an orderly workplace while balancing multiple responsibilities.

MIDDLE & UPPER SCHOOL

OFFICE MANAGER (Part-time)

Providence School seeks a qualified part-time office manager for the Canon Perdido campus for the upcoming 2022–2023 school year. Ideal candidates will be positive, enthusiastic, possess a “can-do” spirit, and embody an authentic love of Christ. Job responsibilities include supporting campus administrators, managing the Middle & Upper School office (including budgeting, ordering, and general operations), coordinating with parent volunteers/Parents Association, overseeing campus reception desk, and campus-wide communications. The office manager should be passionate about helping others and keeping an orderly workplace while balancing multiple responsibilities.

ADMINISTRATION

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & OPERATIONS

The Director of Finance and Operations will serve to advance the mission of Providence School, in close collaboration with the Head of School, by managing the annual budgeting process, including tuition and salary planning, monitoring and forecasting operating results, overseeing payroll and benefit plans and the school’s financial policies. S/he is responsible for ensuring the organization follows sound accounting practices through internal controls, filing tax returns, and other government forms, and managing the school’s AP, AR, cash flow, investment accounts, and banking relationships.

The Director of Finance and Operations will also provide the Head of School and the Board of Directors accurate and timely financial reports and insight on a regular basis while maintaining accurate financial and HR-related records in compliance with government regulations and internal policies. S/he is responsible for assessing and overseeing risk management and the general health and safety of the workforce.

As a member of the Administrative Leadership Team, s/he will collaborate with the Head of School and other senior administrative staff in managing the need-based tuition assistance program of the school.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE HEAD OF SCHOOL (Part-time; 50%)

Providence School seeks a qualified part-time Executive Assistant to the Head of School. The ideal candidate will be positive and enthusiastic, possess a “can-do” attitude, and embody an authentic love of Christ. 

Job responsibilities include managing the HOS’s calendar; serving as a liaison between the HOS, division leads, and the board of directors; coordinating outreach to internal and external constituents and supporters; and other general tasks that will help advance the work of the HOS and the mission of Providence School. 

Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Event planning experience is a plus.
